Description
The photograph is of a DIY chess board. The design and construction was by Craig S. Freeman. Eight strips (black and natural) had a small 45degree angle on both sides with a thin chamfer was cut on every other board and glued together. Then the table was rotated and cut in equal strips and glued together. Once the glue dried the board went through a thorough sanding and was glued to the base unit. After the glue dried a small trim was added and polyurethane was added for durability and appeal.
